Picture the scene: it’s 6 am, you’re wearily scrolling through your Facebook feed and there it is. Just the sort of smug, facile quote that seems specifically designed to rub you up the wrong way. ‘It’s all very well to pontificate about wellness’, you may think to yourself. ‘if you’re not putting in 60 hours a week. I’d love to be able to look after myself more, but it just isn’t practical at the moment’. And it isn’t just a question of finding the time either. Many of us lack the energy for more vigorous forms of physical activity. Although undoubtedly beneficial, hard exercise isn’t for everyone. Going to the gym after work isn’t always an appealing prospect, especially on the long Winter nights we are blessed with in the UK. Fortunately, this is another area in which wellness technology can have a positive impact. Given that NHS guidelines recommend twenty minutes of moderate exercise a day, there is no need to physically exhaust yourself unless you really want too. By using an Oriori Fungo (which is well-suited for workplace exercise) you could meet this target quite easily. If this is still too much, you could try the Oriori squeeze ball. It’s a great way to relieve stress at work, while improving your grip strength at the same time.
Of course, it’s also the case that some people are simply unable to exercise. In that case the Orange Monkey Group digital massage gun is the perfect device for treating sore and tired muscles (perhaps unsurprisingly, one of the most common workplace health issues). It has the added advantage that you can use it without having to leave your seat.
In short, you don’t have to spend a fortune to promote wellness in the workplace and, more importantly, you don’t have to waste your increasingly valuable time.
OMG Welltech can help navigate your business through the highs and lows of wellness technology in the workplace. For an informal discussion about how OMG Welltech can help, book an appointment here.
Orange Monkey Group supply products for the wellbeing of the body and the mind to numerous channels including retail, health and education. We have made it our goal to improve people’s physical, mental and emotional health, an aim which is even more important to us than the previous heights towards which we have strived. For all too many, feeling good and sleeping well have become something of a luxury. Here at OMG however, we are happy to be able to help our customers enjoy that luxury to the full.
We’re proud to be partnered with the Blink Mental health campaign and we will work hard to support the charity in various ways. It’s an exciting time for us as we get to help those who have been affected by issues that, sadly, any one of us could have the misfortune to experience in our ever more complicated lives.
